Baoning vinegar originated from an ancient city in northeast Sichuan – Langzhong, as a time-honored brand in China, one of the four famous vinegars in China. Baoning vinegar has a wide range of brand influence and recognition at home and abroad.

Historical origins

Baoning vinegar has a history of more than One Thousand years, and is one of the four famous vinegars in China.

At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Suo Yiting, the vinegar master of the palace court, chose to live in Langzhong, integrated the original process of Baoning vinegar with the palace technique, and innovatively used 32 traditional Chinese herbs such as Bai Ting, Sharen, Eucommia, Angelica, Wuwei, Mint, etc. to make koji, and took Panlong Mountain Ancient Song Huajing Spring to brew bran vinegar, its vinegar is excellent, and Baoning vinegar is famous far and wide, becoming the local vinegar standard.

Gold Medal of China Glory Panama International Exposition

In 1915, in order to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal, the U.S. government held the “Panama Pacific International Exposition”, inviting countries to bring famous and special products to participate in the exhibition.

Although the packaging of Baoning vinegar is not exquisite, the judges were deeply attracted by the beautiful amber color of Baoning vinegar, and when they tasted it, it was even more fragrant, sweet and long, and beautiful, so they unanimously passed the selection of Baoning vinegar as the gold award. The news of the award spread to China, causing shock and surprise across the country.

Reform and opening up, export overseas

In the early 80s, Baoning vinegar was exported overseas with Sichuan cuisine, and enjoyed a high reputation in many famous restaurants and businesses such as “Rong Paradise”, “Jingchengguo” in the United States, “Sichuan Paradise” and “Fangshan” in Canada, “Sichuan Restaurant” in Yugoslavia, “Natural Food and Life Cooperative Association National Co., Ltd.” in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and “Jin Jiang Chun” in Hong Kong. Japan simply called Baoring vinegar “Sichuan Baoning vinegar, Chinese herb healthy vinegar”.

By 2018, the company covers an area of more than 300 acres, and has built “Baoning Vinegar Brand Cultural Park” and “120,000 tons of Baoning Vinegar Scientific Research and Production Base”.
